Jessica + Matthew, Flood Mansion, San Francisco

I just shot this amazing wedding yesterday at the Flood Mansion in San Francisco. Some of you more diligent visitors to this blog may recognize Jessica + Matthew from an earlier posting abuot my Los Angeles engagement shoots. Well, now it's offical, they are married! Jessica did an awesome job putting together a wedding that a professional wedding designer would be proud of. In fact, Jessica did have some top notch professional help from Shannon Berry for the coordination, Got Light for the beautiful lighting and Branching Out Cakes for that cake, of course.

Jessica + Matthew surrounded themselves by their loved ones and treated them to a wonderful night in a beautiful environment. Congratulations, Jess + Matt, and best wishes for a wonderful life together!

Rachel & Ryan, Clos La Chance, Morgan Hill

Rachel and Ryan are a great couple who originate from Texas (at least attended college there), but have seen the light and moved to California. And I'm glad they did, we are all better off for having such great people here in the bay area.

Their wedding took place at the Clos La Chance winery in Morgan Hill on a perfect July day. The weather was mild, the vineyards were full and everyone had a great time.

Subha & Ankur, Guglielmo Winery, Morgan Hill

Lisa and I shot the fabulous 2 days of festivities for Subha and Ankur's wedding last month. What a great time it was! Over the past 8-9 months, I feel like I've gotten to know Subha and Ankur fairly well. From our initial meetings, to a two part engagement session (day one was FREEZING!, so we did a second day), to the site inspections, to the Sangeet and finally to their wedding day, I think I have spent more time with them than with any other of my couples. They are so sweet and fun to be around, it's been a pleasure to have this opportunity.

You can tell from the photos that their wedding was a gorgeous event. All the beautiful colors and rituals were amazing. In the end, I don't think I turned even one of their shots into black and white because the Sari's were too colorful to hide.

Stephanie & Josh, Memorial Church, Stanford

Is there a more grand church in Northern California than the Memorial Church on the Stanford Campus? I don't think so. Stephanie and Josh had there spectacular wedding in this beautiful church this past July.

From our first emails, Stephanie wanted to know how I photograph dancing. After seeing her and Josh tear up the dance floor with their swing moves, I now understand why. Hopefully, the photos did their dancing justice.

These two make such a perfect couple, I hope they keep dancing to 100 together. Take a look at their slideshow to see some more.

Melissa & Jim at the Presidio

Congrats to Melissa and Jim who were married this July at the Chapel of our Lady in the Presidio. I loved that she put her wedding on her calendar! I guess it would be a shame if she had double booked her big day : )

One thing I love about doing weddings is that I get to know more than just my clients. Often bride's moms are very involved, sometimes it's the groom's dad, but there is always a connection between me and the families. In a sense, part of what I do is to provide the whole family with a positive experience and beautiful items celebrating the growth of the family.

Melissa and Jim's wedding was a fun, classy affair and I wish them many years of success and happiness.

Lisa & Ricardo, Calistoga Ranch Wedding

Lisa & Ricardo were married on lucky 7-7-7! Their wedding at the Calistoga Ranch was meticulously planned by the bride herself, and she did a wonderful job. In fact, she enjoyed doing it so much she has begun offering coordination services under the name of Bellissima Vita , so be sure to check it out.
