Linda & Ryan

It was an engagement session weekend for me with one each day for the long weekend. Linda, Ryan and I went out on Sunday for some photos at Golden Gate Park, Dolores Park and Belden Lane. Aren't they a cute couple!?! I'm so happy to be shooting the weddings for all these great people this year.

cherry blossoms!

The cherry blossoms have bloomed in San Francisco! I love this time of year because it actually feels like a change of seasons (which we don't really get here on the coast).

Cara & Patrick are going to be married soon, so we went out for their engagement session on Saturday and took advantage of the beautiful day. We started with a mom-pleasing studio portrait, then went to the Palace of Fine Arts and last but not least to the chilly Embarcadero. Take a look at the slideshow to see more photos.

L.A. engagement shoot, Vol. 2

Here's part two of my LA engagement sessions. Jessica & Matthew are getting married at the Flood Mansion in SF, but live in LA. We started our shoot at Griffith park, set out to the Frank Lloyd Wright's Hollyhock House then on to Figaro for a glass of wine and a snack (all this shooting works up an appetite believe it or not).

I hope they had as good of a time on the shoot as I did! Part of the draw to photography for a lot of us photographers is that we're really interested in people. I love having time to work with new people and get to know how they interact and express themselves.

If you want to see more of this shoot, take a look at the slideshow.

L.A. engagement shoot, Vol. 1

A couple weeks ago I went to LA to shoot a couple of engagement sessions for clients who are getting married in the Bay Area. Back in the day, I lived in Silverlake (the awesomest part of LA {IMHO} ) and spent a lot of time at the beach, so this trip was a trip down memory lane for me.

For Cynthia and Josh's session, we started at UCLA's Royce Hall then found our way to the beach and Santa Monica Pier. It was such a beautiful evening and Cynthia and Josh are a great couple!
